Seems pretty good value for a set of battery operated lights that can either operate as push lights or controlled and dimmed via the remote control. Not sure how bright they are as it's still daylight, but reviews I've read on Amazon say they're quite bright but can be a bit heavy on batteries.

They look like a good option for alternative/ocassional cockpit or cabin lighting away from shore power.

Lady N bought a set for us; they're 'brilliant' in every way and the batteries don't seem to be any sort of issue. If i didn't already have them, I'd buy them.

Surely if you want to turn on a light for a localised area you could reach a switch? Likely to be nearer than the remote!

Well yes you can, and you can turn these on and off individually by touching them. The remote can be mounted as a switch and switches them all on/off, it just does away with the need for any wiring.

Ok, well I fitted these to my radar arch and tried them out in darkness. All I can say is that I'm very impressed. At the standard setting they're a little brighter than the wired in cockpit lights.

I shall probably now get another set for the cabin.
