I need a short wire strop for my genoa tack to move it slightly up the forestay. Does anyone know where I can get one made to a particular length, ideally online?

Any rigger can knock one of those up for you while you wait.
I'm sure if you got on the phone to one they would stick it in the post to you.
I've used Ratseys Rigging on the IOW for mail order guard wires before. Just select the diameter of wire, length, end fittings and Bobs your uncle.

Jimmy Green have an easy to use online ordering thing. Not the cheapest but great service.

I have had some success in similar situations using old rigging wire and pieces of copper tube as a ferule. Use a thimble of course and squessze the copper tube of approriate size with a vice I use old lock jaw pliers. Use a tube about 30mm long and sqeeze in 3 paces at different directions. If you have doubts about the swage then add another. However as said use dyneems so you can easily adjust length. good luck olewill
