I need a pair of wiper arms for my boat as the wiper blades are falling apart.
They have a hole in the middle and are held down on the spline by a 13m nut.
I seem to remember that the early 80's Ford Escort had a similar "bolt down" wiper arm. Perhaps someone with a boatyard, chandler, or boat owner has some in a drawer gathering dust, where I would willingly pay £10 plus carriage.

we have land rover wipers on ours, they last just as long as the "marine" examples.

I doubt there is much difference to be honest, and nothing a decent seal wont be able to protect, i use jetseal 109 on the wheels of my pickup and through the winter months all they need is a regular wash with a lambswool wash mitt, all metal work on my boat is protected with the 109 too :D

i no i'm going to regrett saying this..
but dont most wiper arm's have a hole in the middle and are held down by a nut?

Theres the splined ones with that awkward to remove clip, theres also the clamp on type, neither much use when been near salt water

yep...
most automotive wiper arm's are splined and nutted down which the o/p seem's to want.
the newer arm's are made from an alloy which tend to sieze onto the spline's.
i would put a small amount of cooper slip onto the spline's before putting the new arms on.to help removal,if he needs them off again.
