hi
can anyone advise me
i am getting my engine ready to go back in the water on sunday
it was winterized ive put all the drain bolts back in
its a volvo penta v8
i then put the engine muffs on and struck her up
but i dont seem to be getting water round my engine
am i doing something wrong or does it need to be in the waterr so there is more pressure of water to push it around the engine

many thanks

cjrvernon

ps ive just ordered a gmc v8 diesel will be here in 5 weeks to drop in the place of my petrol
and cant wait

Maybe grandma's eggs but

have you checked the impeller in the leg AND the engine ?

If the suction fromthe impeller is good enough it can collapse the hose if there is not enough pressure. A container of water with the drive immersed and topped from a hose is another method.
Have you checked if your drive is man enough to take the Diesel Torque and is the correct ratio for the RPM produced.
