River Thames lock closures
Waterway investment programme - 2012/13
Issue six – 12 February 2013
Listed below are the locks that will be closed during the 2012/13 waterway investment programme. The locks will be closed from the first date listed and will re-open on the day after the final date.
*Buscot Lock 28 January 2013 to 22 March 2013
Re-sheeting the lock gates
Rushey Lock 7 January 2013 to 1 March 2013
Replacing the rubbing timbers
*Iffley Lock 1 November 2012 to 22 March 2013
Replacing the lock gates
*Abingdon Lock 5 November 2012 to 22 March 2013
Refurbishing the lock chamber
Sunbury New Lock 21 January 2013 to 15 February 2013
Repairs to lock gate anchor plates
Please note: Sunbury old lock will remain open during the new lock closure. Passage will be limited to published lock keeper hours of duty.
Molesey Lock 14 January 2013 to 8 March 2013
Refurbishing lock chamber and boat rollers
* Locks with changes since the previous issue.
