Just completed the main winter task.
This was the catalyst.
That was the primary filter. The engine one was quite clean.
I don't need to ask the forum if I had the dreaded bug.
Whole fuel system now stripped, treated and reassembled. Even scrubbed inside the fuel tank.
I bought a dozen filters - Fortunately I fitted a maranised Ford diesel and do not have a Volvo one.
After cleaning the system out I ran the engine several times changing both filters a couple of times.
It now starts and runs very sweetly.
