Hi all

Further to my winter in Malta post, we have unexpectedly been offered a berth in Palma Mallorca for the winter. Anyone wintered there and any thoughts?

Hi John, hope you Nicola and the babes are well. Come to Bonaire, temp 31, sea temp 28, diving amazing and loads of wind. Come and join us.

not wintered a boat there but i know who have and have visited the placeover winter too. Quite good i reckon. Cheap flights, protection from worst of northerlies ie golfe de lion, and Palma itself a proper city.

hiya,
have spent last 8 years sailing in Palma area. If you have been offered a berth at a reasonable rate def worth considering. not the cheapest of places but very very nice island. pleanty to do. nice people. weather usually good til december, jan, feb, march are quite cold. april can be wet wet wet.
Safe to leave the boat if thats what you need to do.
Which marina?
regards
Roy

Thanks to all again

Palma looking good as the very nice yacht club with pool etc will help to keep the kids happy.

Spicemariner........good to hear from you. Heading your way in 2008. Are you staying or goling through?

Got another wedding next year, (last child) this time in USA, so I guess we will be around when you arrive. Have a good winter in Majorca. It is very hot here and so windy I can't hang out my washing. We are off to the pub!
