Already paid our deposit for a berth in Marina di Cale del Sole, Licarta - Sicily. Extremely good rates from october to april with may free if we want it!! Not meaning to wish the amazing anchoring months away but interested to hear other people's views of wintering in Sicily.

Have, to my delight, already found that the marina offer language classes; one of the Michelen star restaurants give cookery classes and there's a decent looking gym within walking distance - that's me set then :) Additional feedback a bonus, thanks!
 
I am currently in Licata - nice little Italian working town with many amenities and a nice and friendly marina.

But plan on hauling out in spring after your winter sejourn, the water here in the marina is SOOO nutricious for algae etc. on the hull, much more / worse than in Marina di Ragusa where I stayed for the last winter period.

I'm still looking to organise a winter berth and this looks nice- do you happen to know the approx rates for winter season afloat and ashore ? Thanks!

That's very good! I got a quote for EUR 1200 in Cagliari (11m ) which I thought was cheap already. Will email them now, thanks and enjoy
