I like to use my boat all year. In the past I’ve had some very enjoyable trips in the winter but the last two were a complete washout as the river was on reds pretty much all winter.

It’s looking good for this year. River levels in late October are still low, and it’ll take a great deal of rain just to bring levels back to normal. Reservoirs are low, if we do get lots of rain, the water companies will be drawing lots off. It’s going to take a lot to hit reds this winter.

Yes its looking good so far, have been hoping for a Boxing Day and New Years day cruise for decades, this year maybe🤞
 
I was out for 5 days around Oxford and Abingdon at the start of November. The river was as low and slow as I’ve ever seen it. Going through Port Meadow I was warned twice by rowers of how shallow it was. And yet here we are, red boards for the last few days.
