Hi I am based in the Alicante area and looking for a change of scenery,anyone any ideas on the above area, the boat is a 10 metre m/s.I am looking for a stay for 6 months in or out of the water at reasonable cost

Don't know about Sète, but a bit further up the coast you could try Leucate. First come first serve as I understand it. Big marina, several yards, good choice of restaurants and produce market to hand.
Turn right as you go in and you end up in (our) naturist marina!
