I did what I could before it hit, checked lines, etc.
It wasn't safe to go onto the pontoon, but a torch from the quayside showed the boat bouncing around all over the place in the marina!

Also a sailing yacht is not going to be happy with their self-unfurling and self-shredding jib sail

Re self unfurling jib. The norm is to fit an independent lashing around the sail after furling.
It is not as if there are not enough warnings handed out in mags, forums & sailing clubs etc.
So many people fail to do this & the results can be seen all around the coast after just a stiff breeze.

Heard that little lot go through last night.
Fortunately our location is fairly sheltered from the South and West.
Blows from this direction seem to be far more frequent these days, something to do with the jetstream. ?
