windy 30ft

i have been looking to buy an old 1976 windy 30ft cruiser with a pair of 1990 volvos 200 hp dsls . the boat is in good condition with a large cockpit my wife and i will use for fishing.
can anybody give me some info ,seakeeping capabilities etc . also what performance and fuel consumption should we expect ? thanks

Windy's as a whole are among the best made older boats with a great reputation for sea keeping. You shouldn't go far wrong with it, but would suggest that you have a good look at the engines and outdrives, maybe send some engine oil off for analysis and get an engineer to check it all over.

As to fuel consumption I would expect approx 2 miles to the gallon, but I don't have any personal experience of these engines. Others may know better.
