I have to find a new wiper arm to fit the splines on the windscreen wiper motor on my Moody Eclipse 33. Any ideas on how to find one - the only way that comes to mind is to take the motor to a car scrapyard and find one by trial and error! No makers name apparent and Moodys unable to help.

Why not take the old arm to the scrappy and see what car that would fit, then the wiper from the same car should be suitable. I would be surprised if a lot of different cars did not use the same type and size of connector!

I'm fairy certain that most car wiper arms don't have any splines in them when they are new. They are made of relatively soft aluminium and rely on the wiper spindles "forging" their own external splines into them when the central nut is tightened. As long as you get one with the same bore and taper, I wouldn't worry.
