I have six oval windows to fit, approx 450mm by 195mm. I have the perspex cut to size but have drawn a blank on how to fit them. My preference would be an anodized alumilium frame but can't find anyone who will make them. I'm reluctant to use a rubber seal (like car windscreens) and am not sure what other method I could use. Can you make any suggestions (preferably polite)

If you are thinking of getting windows custom made they will not be cheap but there are several marine window companies that can help with this.
May I suggest that before you go this route you check the Vetus range and if you are lucky one of their standard sizes might fit your boat. Even if you go this route this will be much much more expensive than the rubber seal option.
Good luck.

Perspex window are usually screwed to the outside of the coachroof sides or through bolted. they do of course have to be larger than the "hole" by about 25mm all round.

For framed windows try Eagle Windows www.eagleboatwindows.co.uk

Here's what I did. Made up a wooden backing frame, bit bigger than the 'glass'. Sikaflex in the frame, load the 'glass' , more sikaflex around the outside and over the edges, then a cover plate of 6mm plywood. I.e. it's like a sandwhich with sikaflex as the caulk. This then will be (this weekend) be epoxied to the cabintop (plywood), held in place temporarily by screws, until the epoxy sets, at least.

If you've got oval polycarbonate/lexan, you might be better off with router-ing them out, but it depends on the substrata of your cabintop.

Aluminium framed windows may be cheaper than you think. I replaced mine in a H30, some years ago, for a reasonable 400 squids. Two small, 300 by 200 and two large 1000 by 200 (all mm) Tinted and ready to fit. Dont use sikaflex use window tape and if there is any curve to the sides put some washers under the mddle screws to stop the tape squeezing out.
