Windows 11 and usb gps BU-353S4

My laptop updated from W10 to W11 and the gps stopped working. After trying a few things I reinstalled the W10 driver from BU-353S4 - GlobalSat WorldCom Corp. and all was good again. Just in case anyone else has similar issues, hoping it might save a bit of hassle!

i recall that i had to buy a new one - the S version - when i went to win 10, as there was no win 10 driver for the win 7 BU-353

I navigate with a PC - usually with some sort of network or virtual com port connection to the boat instruments, but I always have the BU-353 as a backup in case something goes wrong with the instruments.

You should go ahead and do that anyway.
Other than some cosmetics, Windows 11 offers nothing extra.
On the contrary, some useful Windows 10 features are no longer available.
