Morning, sorry to trouble but....

Sat here trying to do some work and rather distracted so thought I owuld just ask.

Reseated a window frame in my westerly conway yesterday and three of the fixings were beyond use.

Two part screw together fixings. With male/female part. Mine are imperial.

Any idea what I type in to google search to buy some?

Or recommend a place/site.

I will take a photo this afternoon, if needed.

thanks

Interscrews as Captainboo says ( strictly it's the female part that is the "interscrew" and in theory at least avaialble separately)

Westerly did at one time use an unusual metric size . M 3.5. Listed in the tables so not strictly non standard although they might just as well have been ! The only place we could get them when we resealed the windows in a Berwick was from Trafalgar yacht services..... We needed quite a few new ones and they were priced as though they were made of a precious metal !

Hopefully the Conway is sufficiently more recent for a more readily available and reasonably priced size to have been used .

Thanks for the replies, job for tomorrow lunchtime. So I can 'escape work' for a moment, invaluable!

I had some interscrews a while back from Hadlow Marine, who are boat window specialists and very helpful with advice. IIRC I had to replace imperial sized (BA?) with metric, because of lack of availability (having searched high and wide), but there was a near enough metric fit.

+1 for interscrews from Hadlow Marine. Excellent service.

I've just (mostly) done this job. The only place I could find the "Westerly size" ones as Vic mentioned was Trafalgar. The good news is they should reopen today too, they were shut for January when I did my windows!

I mentioned yesterday that Trafalgar stock them,? Well less than 24 hours after ordering from them they were delivered.. excellent service.
