I've been trying to find a company able to make & fit blinds to the side cabin windows of my boat. Alas, the windows have a curved top edge, so the blinds need to be shaped. The only company I could find was 'Imp', but their quotation was more suited to a Monopoly board than a boat!

Does anyone know of a firm dealing in boat blinds? Preferably in the Southampton area. Bit like a goldfish bowl aboard at the moment! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

You could try what I believe are called viennese or austrian blinds where there are guide cords through the pleated fabric and pull cords to lift or lower which can be held by cleats (if thats not sacriledge on the mobo forum). These have the advantage that the guide cords hold the bottom edges in place when the boat rocks ... clever eh. They can be made up by any curtain shop.

Otherwise use some of the very small curtain track available from caravan (sacriledge again !!) suppliers and have curved curtains made.
They look ok when closed and no different when open.

I can't see that being a problem. Just make a template and either take it or send it to the company you choose to use. Don't go to your local curtain shop as they don't make'em, well very few do.
I make blinds from templates all the time for my customers. A piccy printed from a digital camera is always a help to.
