I want to fit a wire less remote control to my Quick Windlass, is anyone aware of the availability of a propriety unit that displays length of chain deployed etc?

Do you have the ***** to deploy an anchor from anywhere except the bow.?
All you need to do is colour code your chain.
I've a wireless remote, but I DO stay at the locker and keep track of what is going on. Our rather senoir windlass has a mechanical counter, which more or less works. I prefer to be at the bow, listening how hard the windlass is working, and flaking chain neatly. Haven't heard of a device that displays "chain out/in" reliably, but I don't think I would trust it!
