Windlass emergency handlever

I've recently bought a boat with a Simpson Lawrence Seawolf 520 windlass installed. I guess it's about 10 years old. Pulling up the 45lb CQR at the press of a button is a pleasant novelty but the lack of manual alternative seriously concerns me. What I need (I think) is the optional extra emergency handlever (part number 0052012). I've contacted Lewmar and a couple of local chandleries but no joy. Any ideas? Even a picture of one would give me a chance of getting one made. Thanks.

Is it not just a straight bar that fits in one of the holes round the drum?

IF it is then don't do what I did...... remember to remove it before operating the foot switch... got a well deserved smack on the top on my crust.

Ours takes a winch handle & I did exactly the same thing.

It does smart, doesn't it.

And why does that sort of thing always happen when you've got an audience?

Thank you both. Unfortunately, it's not the clutch lever. But I shall watch out for my feet!
