Windermere berth for the summer?

Just thinking about the summer holidays.Have always fancied having the boat on the lakes ,just wondering about a good marina / moorings on Windermere. Is there any problems with depth etc. Is there enough places to visit by boat and are there any visitor mooring at the these places
