Anyone have dimensions for a wind scoop design for the hatch above the forepeak?

Guessing a wedge shape, about 600mm x 600mm base about 1.5m high. I've access to a sewing machine for a day or so plus an old sail but don't even know what size the hatch is, guessing 575mm from Google.

Any hints?

I have made 2 or 3. Worth having a top spreader equal to the width of the hatch. Double or triple the front edge. Or include a cord.

It will be more stable if you can set it with a little tension on the front aperture. The ones set slack often flap with a fair bit of noise which you don't want when trying to sleep.
