I've bought a wind genny without the mounting pole, brackets etc - the fitting kit price was silly compared to the genny price.

I can source the poles I need but where can I get the stainless steel brackets which will clamp either a 50mm or 48 mm o/d pole against the 25 mm o/d tube of my pushpit?

All you need is a couple of S/S U bolts and a flat plate with 4 holes in it, or substitute the flat plate for 2 x S/S saddle clips.

I did something similar, your local chandlery should have any bracketry you need.

Seascrew do all sorts of 316 brackets - used them many times. You would need the 1" saddle for the 25mm and 11/2" for the 48mm I have done something similar years ago for a flag staff. U bolts would also work fine too. Are you clamping vertical to vertical or Vert to Hor?

I think that you did the right thing. I bought the kit and only used bits & pieces as the bracing tubes were too short to be of any use. I did use the main support pole, mounting bracket, screws etc. as I'd paid for them.

A local stainless supplier cut support tubes to length and were fairly cheap (as well as being en-route to the marina).

I reckon that I could have bought the screws and bolts fairly easily and made the brackets. I can probably describe the brackets in detail if you want to try making them up.

The support pole was the only thing I might have had trouble sourcing. I can look out details of the firm I used but P&P might be high for small lengths of tubing as they are based in Scotland.

I got all mine from Seascrew, and all the fittings for making a adjustable Solar Panel Mount and pole.
