i've found it to be very good, came top in a test of 10 a couple of years ago, value for money, amps for money weight.
1 also have an ampair pacific in storage, ampair is heavier but gives around the same output,
its not that noisy when running, the only thing against it is you have to manually stop it,but most in R913 price range are the same, don,t forget the regulater, originally i fitted an electronc type but it didn't seem that good, tho i suspect it had a fault, now i use one with the shunt on the underside,i think its a rutland as well , very basic but good, just have to watch the heat coming of it,mount it on a pc of cement board or the like in a well ventilated space.
i also am able to run solar panels of the same regulator .
all in all very pleased with it

hi
had a 503 which ran continuously for 12 years (although 2 sets of bearings in this time) but very pleased accepting that this is one is a trickle charger. On that basis and that Marlec (Rutland) are very good to deal with and helpful bought a 913 and run contunuously since feb this years - even more happy with the bigger one - good charge rate (mostly charges 2-4 amps but have seen up to 15 amps gusting force 8) and quiet, very quiet. I went to a marina before purchasing and stood by a variety of wind gennys to get a noise comparison and the rutland 913 seemed very quiet in comparison which confirmed my choice of generator. Got the electronic regulator that came in the package and this seems to work well. Only thing I would have done differently would be to polish the mounting pole before erection( it is a matt finish that tarnished a little at first but ok now after a polish). Mine is mounted at base, a bracket at pushpit height (+2ft) and 4 wire (4mm) stays a bit like a mast set up. This does not allow the pole to flex around, even in a seaway when I just leave it to charge.

Hope this is helpful info

Also got a 913 with Marlec electronic regulator, which takes inputs from both wind generator and solar panel. Output to 2 battery banks and has for the last 3 years keep the boat banks 400 amps fully topped up in the middle of Portsmouth harbour.
At rally this year was rafted onto another boat with a 913 which was "starting" in much lighter winds than mine. Re- aligned the pole on which it is mounted and again it is providing more amps in lighter winds than when the pole was about 85 degrees due to the pushpit.
Good bit of kit

Excellent bit of equipment and backed by an excellent company too. Certainly one of the most supportive, customer friendly outfits I've ever dealt with.

No connection etc etc

Have had one all this season. Great bit of kit and has kept us going well through our Brittany cruise this summer. Silent below an F5. It gets a bit scary in a gale, but then there are other things to worry about. Regulator is a must...

Can't comment directly, but they seem to be good if you only need "mid-range" power output.

We have a DuoGen which is brilliant. I am a "gadget freak" so need lots of power! Eclectic Energy are also a very nice company to deal with.

So, depending on what your needs are, do have a look at http://www.duogen.co.uk

Cheers,

Jerry
