Wind and solar regulator

The requirements for solar and wind regulators are different. Rather than getting a combined regulator, separate wind and solar regulators are generally a better choice.
The listed eBay regulator seems to be a simple on /off regulator which is not very effecient.

On the solar side the Genasun regulators are a good choice for smaller systems.

What sort of windgen is it? If it's a Rutland then here's another vote for the Rutland regulator. It will also control solar up to a certain wattage (can't remember how much at the moment) and (so far) has worked well.

I really like the HRDX Rutland regulator-it shows voltage on each bank, wind charging amps, solar amps and an off switch which allows the WG to revolve very slowly (good for bearings rather than stopping) the only thing is that it only does up to 100Watts solar.
