Fuel capacity: 13 tonnes. IIRC, that's 13,000 litres. Say £1/litre? £13K? Bloody hell, I wouldn't want to pay for filling that up! Is that why so many of HM Royal Navy ships stay in port so long? (HM Captain to shore crew: "Err, I say chaps, do you accept credit cards?")

These are similar to boats to those that were training off Studland some 4 or 5 years ago in dreadful wind over tide conditions. They really looked 'the business' and were exceptionaly fast............strangely far quieter that todays grande prix racing boats. Why?
Well possibly for military reasons they have been made that way.
Why then can't other boats be silenced?
It would then be one step towards making the majority happier.
