Not sure if I can do this on here but RYA forums have started.

I suppose it will give an avenue for some of the wind up merchants to start again on another site....just hope the moderators are eagle eyed.

It should also give a source of answering all those Col regs questions that everyone disagrees about.

If its not permitted to show link to another forum (it is the RYA) apologies and I shall delete.

They arent very good, i signed up as an RYA member, you dont have to be a member of the RYA but the forums are quite poorly laid out, I know where I'll be staying /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

It tells me i need to register.

They didnt transfer details from old web site.

So I try to enter using my old details....Its a new site so should work.

Does it let me use the web site.

Pah!

I think you were correct earlier in your post, I had the same problem and called them - they just said re register with your membership number etc and it will be ok - I did this and well yes it all works now ... the old site did not transfer your details and they cannot do it for you as they are lost .. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

As I understand it you need to be a paid up RYA member to go in there so it's unlikely to make any difference here

Thats a hell of a bold statement to make!!

I would expect a lot of memers around here are members of the RYA, Like myself and have been for many years.

Cheers

Agreed Al , but I don't see many wanting to go through the membership details just to go on another forum , I'm also a member but I don't think it's worth the fuss unless it really takes off which is unlikely IMHO

it tells me i am already registered but i must enter e-mail address and password to log in.

i have just tried every possible e-mail address to get a password reminder....bear in mind they have just sent me an e-mail telling me about this wonderful new service.....and it tells me that none of the e-mail addresses are registered.

They should've given it a VHF then - the CG could have found them by triangulating the VHF signal ... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I think not judging by the total mess and cockup of their forum web site - buggy and lowsey forum software.

It's a joke /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Give it a chance, nearly pulled my hair out trying to register, but not gone bald yet, I think it will be interesting to see how it develops, already some things have been er how shall I say it, informed about, that could get interesting, I am on there as me, Powerskipper, would not change handle as quite fond of it now
They have access to some very knowledgeable peeps . as I say could get interesting, it will never be like this forum /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif and I don't think it wants to be. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
