Just gone through the gate to board the flight home(see last Thread) to find that it is overbooked, I just managed to get moved though to a window seat rather than a B row sandwiched between to other passengers. Whats amazing is that the flight was fully chaecked in over an hour ago but I still got a seat change after I mentioned that I am Lufthansa frequent flyer. Double standards I think but hey who's complaining

Lufthansa in Dusseldorf recently let me sit in their Lounge and the Plane depart (I had not checked in my bags) without warning despite being a frequent flyer, the Plane not being late and me frequently asking the lounge staff whether it was boarding yet! I think you certainly the chosen one!

You are a lucky one!

I have never rated Lufthansa and except for their Canadair Jets I think their service is terrible. I never use them longhaul, and yes I am a frequent flyer. Oh well I have to Brave KLM for the next three weeks as I travel all the way around the world. Now anyone fancy a sweepstake as too how late the Manchester Amsterdam Flight will be and as a result which days flight I will actually get to Taiwan. At least the KLM lounges have draft Heineken on Tap and their wine selection is quite good....and all in the name of Popcorn tasting!

Cheers

Oh boy dont I know that flight..........
Birmingham - Amsterdam - Bankok - taipei
done it lots , ask BB.
Best time was when they lost the flight plan 3 times when on the tarmac at Bankok, felt like offering the pilot my handheld GPS

I remember their ghastly cheese rolls for breakfast, would have been better to offer nothing or offer to sell a proper breakfast.

Tico is right, but the virgin flight to Shangers was always ok, if a bit slow on the way home.

I missed it once as bike courier crashed taking my visa to the airport, missed the next one as M3 was shut, eventually had to fly to Frankfrut to HK then to shangers, I'm sure there was standing room only on internal flight to shangers with chickens and goats running around like a indian train...
