Just to set the record straight. I have had the benefit of free wifi connection from Square Mile at Troon last few weeks. So I have to correct my earlier statement of no free lunches.

I must be 175 metres from the marina hub works fine with my dongle taped to the window (if you'll pardon the expression).

I phoned up SQ Mile last week to complain that the subscribe button on their web site was not working only to find out that my marina has free WiFi for the year.

Conwy Marina, North Wales also has WiFi which is free. Just spent a few days there and it's a lovely place with a huge castle, walled town and quaint narrow streets.
