I'm not surprised - my phone can only get any sort of signal when the tide's particularly high there. If you see us standing on the boom waving our phones in the air, it's because we are trying to send texts! The phone signal's OK on the sea wall - have you tried that for wi-fi?

I have no problem with phone signal on either my O2 work phone or my 3 mobile up my end of the pontoon.

Couldn't get any signal in Brightlingsea on 3g dongle - but that might be me!

Free WiFi in Stellendam - sitting on terrace, overlooking the water, with a beer. I could get to like this liveaboard lark! Vince and Joe called at lunchtime too.
