Why they wouldnt let me work today

I spend my time at work sitting in a harness hanging from a rope. The wind speed limit for this type of work is normally 30Knots which can be pretty hard. This is why they wouldnt let me work today.

This is what it actually looked like, since the photo was taken it has risen to 80 Knots and still climbing.

Interesting the way the high winds flattened out the swell and extended the period - obvious, too, I suppose, but I haven't seen evidence for it like this before.

I flew in/out of Aberdeen yesterday and saw the seas from the plane looking just like this.

The wind sock at the airport streamed horizontally and looked completely rigid. The pilot earned his corn landing in that wind I can tell you. We came down with a very definite thump after a very lively final approach!
