'Mizzle' was a word used by Herefordians years before David Ike used it - part of the Hereford local dialect I believe. We lived there for a few years and it always amused me.
'Mizzle' was used to describe misty light rain long before the war in the Gloucester area - a regular word in my Gloucester born grandmother's vocabulary.
