At the moment i am living in Egypt with my Egyptian wife,We pay here around 7 pence a litre for diesel,it costs no more than 200 quid a month to live(that covers everything including the phone bill) the sun is always shining and im only a couple of hours away from Sharm and the red sea.So why do i feel that i have to return to the UK? ive sat in the corner and prayed that the feeling will go away but it wont.Am i getting a bit unstable in me old age or what. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Come to the UK for a holiday, bring your wellies and an umbrella though!
Mind you, I bet you'd love to see some rain? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Your £200 here will just about cover the council tax! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Guess you're feeling a little homesick which is understandable, have a break for a week or two. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I know what you mean. I lived abroad for several years at a time, mostly in paradise paid for by someone else.
One day flying home,I realised I just missed the lush green of England, warm brown beer and fish & chips. Yes,really.
However, having been home (ish) for 5 years, I cant wait to live away again, and am planning my retirement that way.
Its so expensive here now it makes your eyes water.
Come home for an extended holiday and discuss it with old friends. Gather the data - its not the same place as previous years.

Best of luck with whatever you do.
