As some of you know I was supposed to have gone to Palma at the start of October and get work on a yacht for the season...
Anyway, I didnt.... My friend who I was supposed to go with did make it and this is the boat she is now working on....

What a stunning boat! If I won the lottery and all that...

So anyway, I am wishing her the best of luck in her new job, wishing here trade winds on the crossing (unlike we had last year) and looking forward to joining her in warmer climes in the new year...

WOW - and she gets PAID to do that? I'm doing something wrong with my life!

Here's a link that works, by the way:

Stunning. What an interior. Bet you're not allowed in with dripping oilies and a fag on the go.

I was on a course last week with a guy who flew to Palma two years ago to find work.

He got a deck hand job and did a season in the Med. After that he got another job as a deck hand on a 160 ft Perini Navi called Phryne.

He's just been promoted to First mate earning £27K tax free.

Not to be sneezed at.

Wow, now that is something I would leave home for! But imagine bringing her into a UK marina. The cost alone would age you overnight. Still, one can dream.
