Losing my burgee was a blessing in disguise. Because of the Burgee I first met Syd. Meeting Syd (and his mates) was traumatic. He made me eat too much at the Tower hotel Carvery, forced me to down prodigious quantities of alcohol, later he mistook my Missus for a Hooker and during the early hours of the morning was observed sitting on the jetty with his pals eating McDonald's off the floor where they had been dropped by one of his mates who was still floundering in the water where he had fallen in. If this is the sort of people that wear a Forum Burgee do I really want to meet them ? /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Did Syd have his boat in St. Kats? Who saw whose burgee first? Was first sighting before or after sundown/sunup/dusk/pissup/visit to ablutions block? How many mates does Syd have? Are they bigger or smaller than me? Did he fall or was he pushed?Who spoke to who first?
Why am I asking all these stupid questions?Detailed facts are necessary to establish culpable action and sanctions.

Why ever not?

They sound like just the right sort I like to meet.

Here's to drunken debauchery.

For sale, 1970 Triumph Spitfire-sold, 1947 Lambretta, 1922 Great grandmother, PM for details.

Re: Why ever not?

All sounds quite normal. Perhaps the burgee thought you were not a right and fit person to own one. So flew away to a new more fitting home!!

No one can force me to come here-----------

Surely you didn't watch that offshore! I've had it in my DVD for the past week, watched it on 4 separate occasions and it's still not finished. When I was offshore I could never get past the credits before I fell asleep. Even Deep Throat, but that's another story!!
