Why do my heads stink ?

Spray a deodorisation product(not air freshner) into the toilet basin, cover the basin with cling film flush toilet several times problem solved. Oh by the way don't forget to remove cling film ha ha

Just out of interest...

Do you keep your boat in a marina?
Do you close the inlet seacock when you leave the boat?

We have lavac vacuum and have never had a problem with smells. A few things are of interest...

The toilet pumps for about 20-25 seconds on every flush due to a timer
We never close the inlet seacock
We are on a swinging mooring with tides going past so possibly the water in the inlet may be being changed??

Yes we are in a marina, in fact it's on a canal system so the water gets quite warm.
I'm in the Med so leave the boat for months on end. I close all stopcocks and wouldn't change this.
I think your point is interesting that if the inlet was left open it would give opportunity for gas to escape as well as letting the water refresh to some extent.
However I couldn't leave my boat with the inlet open, not sure my insurance company would like it either. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
