Planned week away has been abandoned.

Left Lowestoft this morning on 09.45 bridge timing, out to first can buoy, turned south....


It was pants!
I knew it was going to be wind against tide but...

SLAM.....

and i was only doing 18 Kts ffs.

Slowed to non slam speed....15 kts and then started rolling around.


Currently back on the berth contemplating my navel and going back to work on Monday


Oh and one of the fridges (only 3 1/2 years old) has packed up so no cold beers

if we knew that you were at Lowestoft on Sat night,you could have joined us at the new marina for a beer or three,the crew and i were talking about you thinking that you were further south.

Which is the new mrina?
The Hamilton Dock extension to Haven Marina.....
where you are lucky if you get the code for the gate.

I could have done with a break from the pub in our part of the marina....ended up with another discussion with the owner over no boaters using her pub (actually a nice fish restaurant, but she doesnt want pi$$y boaters in there....cos she thinks we only want burger and chips)

Maybe Burnham?

we ended up at the Hamilton dock,i tried calling before hand and had no answer so we motored in an as we approached the pontoon a lady came over ,took the lines and dished me out a ticket,Dont know about gate code problems as she wrote the code at the top of the ticket.

best of luck with your landlady,she sounds a handfull
