Im a newbie...

Seems to be a big lack of charts of the wash! Why?

And also there are

- Admiralty Charts
- Imray 2000 charts
- Imray C Series
- Imray Med series
- Imray Tetra Series
- Imray Y Series
- Stanford

whats what/best/most suited to me!? They all look pretty simmilar from pics on the net!

I am an experienced (land)map reader, small yacht, not going far, just around the wash.

1.Which is best for me
2.Where do i get one of the wash!

Imray Chart Y9 covers the Wash and the North Norfolk coast.
If not you do not need a chart until next year best to wait until April so you get the latest chart and corrections.

If all else fails Wisbech harbour office 01945 588059 probably has them.

I see from your earlier post that you are hoping to move your yacht by road. If so, the Port of Wisbech River Nene and Approaches is perhaps more vital in your early days in the Flatlands than the chart for the whole Wash. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I'll probably be shot down in flames for saying that but no matter

The marked channel is very narrow and at first sight can be (very) confusing. You may not want to venture much further than Wisbech No 1 buoy on your first few trips. I didn't. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif You may say I am a wimp but I say I stopped to watch the seals, honest. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

The River Nene and Approaches passage plan is printed in the centre of Wisbech Yacht Harbour booklet (FOC from above phone number). I recommend you enlarge each section to A4 size (or larger) and laminate them. Then you can tick each buoy off as you pass it.

Cheers

you didn't warn him about my barge going through the marina , I'm shocked , all the boats on the outer moorings are supposed to have been warned that I may be coming through , and there's not a lot of clearance
