Me - looking forward to a nice weekend- I was looking forward to starting it early today until getting a call this morning with some work. Hopefully going round to Dartmouth just for a short outing with friends and babies.

Unfortunately Saturday is the Annual Scrub-the-Club Day and the forecast for the West Country for Sunday onwards looks damp.
Nevertheless, had a magical sail in the sunshine on Wednesday. NW 4/5 and sailed off moorings for a spinnaker reach down to the Torpoint Ferry. Thence sailed to anchor at Kingsand and a pint in the pub. 4 other MAB's at anchor and the only AWB's were virtually all sailing schools. Why was this?
Beat back to moorings on intermediate genoa and full main, even through the Bridge. Few other boats on moorings to watch out for. Makes me wonder why I've replaced the engine this winter. Can the rest of the season be this good?

Having spent last weekend at the club making bacon butties for the lift-in guys (we are unbearably smug, just motored from the marina to our mooring this year) and helped with failing outboards and stepping ups of numerous masts, I have suggested to HWMBO that we p*ss off out into the solent, out on one tide, back on the other to be in time for club launch p*ss up (sorry - Lauching Dinner). Times, tides, weather and visiblility permitting.

Anyone going out in the area of Chi Bar wanna give us a shout - PM me...we'd love to hear from you.

Saw you out there on Wed as you passed the dockyard, sat thinking I should be doing the same. Got my own back today as I passed Cargreen and saw the work going on ashore!
