Re: who\'s pulling ropes this weekend?

am working on a boat tommorow day.....and then watching the rugby in the afternoon. And then Sunday the Spring Series starts so back to 6.30am starts and the rest of the afternoon spent in the Square Rigger. However I am not drinking alcohol anymore so may not stay as late as I used too!

" I am not drinking alcohol anymore ".

I remember seeing this painted in large letters on a well dented car in Dublin.

In little letters underneath : " I'm not drinking any less"

Well SWMBO is off on a jolly in the Cotswolds with her mates. I have to get firstborn to the rugby club today and tomorrow and get another coat of primer on the keels sometime. Trying to fit in a bit dinghy sailing with second born sometime. Weather looks promising.
I haven't got time for this; I only switched this thing on to get the forecast.

Re: who\'s pulling ropes this weekend?

Unfortunately not.
It looks like a good day for it out of the window.

Household duties today.

Chairman of Stewards tomorrow at a Kart Race at Kimbolton.
The only problem with that is that all the young karters bring their parents with them /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif.

Trying to warm some epoxy resin for Heron restoration project (dinghy, not bird).
Who knows though. Sun is shining, water is blue, boat is yellow, if it wasn't a bloody cold Northerly........

Re: who\'s pulling ropes this weekend?

Alas, the cold weather means that launching is postponed one week to allow good curing of two undercoats and two top coats, but she will look so beautiful when she's launched next week!

Re: who\'s pulling ropes this weekend?

Too cold for sailing so . . .

I've been oyster farming . . . which involves standing in freezing cold water sticking your hands in and repeatedly lifting heavy weights.

Very refreshing.

Can't you sleep. I was tucked up at anchor in Brodick Bay, Arran last night after what can only be described as a boisterous sail from Troon. Mix today of F5, F0 and snow on the way back. All in all a crackin' weekend on the water. Going to do it again next weekend too.
