Whos off ,or left for the Baltic?

As i head towards the Baltic with its unlimited islands free moorings fresh air and cool clear water,i wonder if there are any others intending to spend a pleasent summer sailing there?

In the mean time ive opened a good bottle of French wine 1997 which has had time to develop.Ive found an old farm house that will be pulled down to make way for a dozen flats,i asked the developer if i could take things from the garden he said yes!

So with soft and hard fruit rhubarb basilic an old bench and a place to grill a short bike ride from an open market life has taken on a pleasent delay in my progress through Europe the people are really great!As is the food! What a choise for those that pay,not bad for those that wait for the leftovers!

Yesterday i made something called "waterzooie"??Thats what it sounds like its Chickin with spinich i was told what to do when i collected a pile of spinich!

I thought you were away sailing!It seems there arnt many off to the Baltic.Thanks to GPS Stella has arrive for the weekend,since she arrived shes been reminding me i drink to much wine??I dont agree!

I told her that in the Baltic there is no alcohol at all just to thin and to expensive bier!That dident convince her as she wants me back in september!

Shes gone to sleep now.

Ill continue my way up there crossing the Rhine and heading up to Gdansk i hope there will be depth and that that crazy German woman dosent start yet another war in her quest for Germany to rule the world whatever others want.

Has the ice gone yet?And is it above freezing at night??I dont have my heater with me! I suppose if it snows in Augut i could buy a wood heater??

I have been along to your forum but untill this past week i dident have internet conection offten at all only to download email when shopping not more this is luxuary!

Its averaging mid 20 - 25 C in day .... mid 12 - 18 at night ... weathers good ... waters fine ....

I\'m in the Baltic

In fact I'm in Stockholm. Its midsummer. The temperature is 15C, its raining on and off and the sky is grey.
About 2 weeks ago the weather was hot and the water temperature was 23C. Perhaps we've had the summer.
Mark you we are sitting comfortably in Wasahamn marina looking out at the main Stockholm harbour. there are Dutch and Germans all round us and even a Russian boat next door.
Oh yes, there's continuous screamng from the Grona Lund Funfair a hundred yars away. I'm still glad to be here.

Im gradually approching!Stellas hear and thinks drinking wine and not walking much is unhealthy!She wants me to stop eating amimal products,milk meat yougurt no wine only water and no fish unless eaten for breakfast!

It seems millions of years ago we only ate breakfast?? Anyway im casting off when ive sent this,This new regime and Stella to help me sail untill we reach Poland or for the next week which ever comes first has speeded my prgress!!

Looks good up there,hope it dosent snow next week??
