Well after getting the Sunseeker for after her annual major service and having cracking few days .. Went to anchor in some slightly deeper water and my dad let all the anchor chain out and it carried on at the end And snapped its safety bracket... 30 metres of chain and my delta anchor all gone in :( ceased a good days fishing, now need to get it sorted before I bring the family next week.

Anybody got an anchor and 30m chain suitable for a 41 foot motor boat? Chandlers seem very dear and I'm looking to minimise my losses! Or if anyone can recommend a cheap new alternative.

Thanks in advance!

I'd have a chat with the local scuba diving clubs/shops. They might find it an interesting exercise to do a search and retrieve for it... might even be part of one of the qualifications for some of their divers.

Where was it and how deep is the water. If you took the marks for where it was dropped there's a very good chance a diver could find it, buoy it and then recover it. I've certainly managed to do that in the past for a few people.
