OK, so I was going to use International Interprotect Epoxy Primer and Trilux on my outdrives with Primocon and Interspeed Ultra on my hull. Then after some consideration I opted for Jotun Seagaurdian on the hull with Velox-Plus on the drives/props with appropriate primers.
I employed a local firm to clean/strip/apply the antifoul to the hull and was going to do the drives/props myself, but when I arrived at the marina they had already coated everything with primer and Seagaurdian.
When questioned they said they also applied Velox-Plus to the props with SG over the top (I have no idea why they did this)!
Without giving it too much thought at the time, I just removed my SS props, topped-up the oil in the drives and fitted new anodes. For some reason I didn't think to remove the Seaguardian from the DP-G drives and the boat is now back on its berth!
I am concerned that the copper oxide in the seaguardian may react with the aluminium drives! I intend to pull her out in say 6m for a wash and could remove/re-apply the correct products then. Or should I pull her out again now? Has anyone done this before? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
