Whole boat heat shrink

There is a boat near me wrapped in heat shrink.Is it expensive to do? With this weather i think it may be a good idea!

I had mine done (36' both masts removed) a few years ago but it was done whilst afloat from just above the waterline. I think it was about £600 including the heat shrink, hoops, gas and labour and a zipped panel for access. Slits were made in each end to make ventilation flaps.
As you can see from the phhoto it was great for working under as it is translucent but is prone to condensation on the underside when the temperature drops below about 5C, not that this was an issue.
I would recommend it for long term storage or if you are doing any major sanding which your neighbours won't appreciate when the dust lands on their vessel.
