Anyone else getting battered by high winds???

We've just had the electricity turned back on after sitting here in candle light.

When I reported the blackout to Southern electric, the chap on the phone asked if it was windy. When I said 'Yes. extremely' , the guy said 'thought so, there's been a wave of lines down going east across Reading and the Thames Valley'

Hae a look at http://www.xcweather.co.uk/ and set it to wind strength and animation.

Dont worry....the shortest day is past, things can only get better. Think of us poor soles north of the border, your gale is a mere bagatel up here, and oh yes whats this thing called electricity, does it help you see and keep warm, we just snuggle up in the lee of bum island, beats kilowatts per hour. Roll on Hogmanay!!!!
