Who remembers John? Started at Cleve Lock as a summer assistant when aged 16 and ended up Harbourmaster. He was just as comfortable sipping tea with the Queen or swigging pints with the lads.

C'mon let's hear your reminiscences there must be loads. I can remember when he and I and our dominatrixes went to Oxford Dogs and his wife picked a Dog out with a pin. She gave him a quid to put on it, he looked at it's form and stuck the quid in his pocket.... you guessed it, it came in at about 20-1. He had to pay up or be caught out.
