Even to carry enough water…

Is he the guy that navigated with an AA atlas?
He's actually an accomplished mini Transat sailor. He's previously done a single handed circumnavigation of Iceland (starting from the UK) in one of his minis. I think he fits race boat electronics for a living. Advanced autopilots etc.

We know him very well, a very tough guy who dealt with serious rig issues on his Iceland trip. He's been trying to organise a Fastnet style race around Iceland. He's come to us a few times with various lunatic race ideas which we have so far (easily) managed to resist.

Funnily enough I never realised he was married. I guess she has made sure a good life insurance policy in place.

Oh wow I've just realised he's doing the North Atlantic, Newfoundland to Cornwall...that really is crackers.
I'd automatically assumed that he'd be keeping some rowers company on the way to Antigua (which would still be a mad thing to do).

Seriously he seems quite well built, what on earth is he going to live on food wise? Won’t the lack of exercise space cause thrombosis type problems?
