The difference is that you can achieve the same speed in a £20k 20ft motorboat/RIB without spending £5m or whatever on a state of the art racing yacht
For evidence of that look at the little runabout following in it's wake. No problem keeping up

They'll have been in the low to mid 20s in that clip.
The Volvo boats have higher speed potentials, but are a little trickier to get round a short course. The TPs are set up for inshore racing and lots of maneuvers.

Anderson 22's can be sailed that slowly but usually requires bare poles to achieve it.
