Had a quick look at tides today and am expecting to leave Brightlingsea about 7am on Sat 14, out to Colne Point then follow round keeping the land on my left!

Seems ages since I was at sea in Karouise probably August Bank Holiday - didnt get much sailing last year - hope I can remember what to do!! :o

Any one else heading up that way?

team Black Magic is. We will be a bit behind you as we are not leaving until 7am too - I am aiming to muster my crew by 6, but I'm not banking on it... Mind you, there are a lot of us, so I'm sure one of us will be up in time :D

Can't speak for Alshira, but I'm sure they'll be heading up Friday or Saturday. Laurin is going on Thursday night.

As I'm coming from Gravesend I'm planning on starting Friday, very early, so will have plenty of options, including stopping off in the Blackwater for a finish on Saturday or into the Stour if everything goes well - or not starting at all if weather doesnt play!

Should have read this before posting

Just started a thread "See you in the Wallet?" probably going north therein Saturday, too, unless I get a better idea, but likely to leave later, provided wind going in roughly the right direction. Not booked into Fitting Up, but like I say very glad to meet a forumite or 2. Boat name "Whisper".

We'll leave Bridgemarsh at or just before HW on Saturday - say 6.45 or 7am. We should be at the Spitway before 10. Expect to get to Shotley for a late lunch. I have booked a day's leave on Monday, so we have a couple of days to choose for the return bash down the Wallet.

According to WindGuru just now it's going to be a chilly Saturday start

Hoping for a long tack out of the Colne lee bowing the tide then tack onto starboard set the wind vane and have an hours kip!

Would be nice, we should be off Colne Bar at around 08:00 I guess. May see you there(ish). We would normally cut inside and run up close inshore. Do you plan to go out as far as the windfarm?

Regards
