Just be talking to a contact at Peters who confirms that they will no longer be selling New Fairlines apart from the boats they have on stock or are committed to.

Business opportunity for someone with a large cheque book?

Should be interesting to see who appears on which Stands at SIBS wearing what shirts.

So what are Peters going to sell?, they have a good set up with a good name, and they are not too over priced. Any one know why they have fallen out with Fairline? or was it all down to the distribution thing.

Very subtle

?? I bought a Squadron from them,,
If someone asked me if I would deal with them again ?? I would have to say NO

They have been the distributor for Fairline for many years, with I believe all Fairline dealers having to go through them with orders,,Hopefully if what you say is correct, things will improve

I think Peters also own Opal, who sell Bavarias. That'll probably keep them busy. I thought that they were still selling Fairlines, but not as the only source.

I saw the first of the new range of boats Peters are selling turn up on Sunday. Not sure what it is but is moored by the office and is BIG !

Bit like a Targa 62 but meaner looking and blue/greey hull decks.

Peters Website seems to have failed to notice the split with Fairline but the news page does say this:

New Superyacht Range for Peters
Peters has announced it is to sell a new range of superyachts. Royal Denship, the market leading Danish Superyacht builder has chosen to work with Peters because of their unparalleled experience in selling top class motor yachts. The new range includes an 82 Open Motor yacht, an 85 flybridge motor yacht and a 96 motor yacht. The 82 Open will be shown for the first time at the Palma Boat Show in May 2005. She will have luxurious accommodation for eight people in four cabins, plus crew quarters and is powered by twin MTU 16v 2000 hp engines incorporating surface drive propulsion. It is anticipated this installation will deliver a top speed of 45 knots with a cruising speed of 35-40 knots and a range of 600 nm.

Peters has set up a separate division, Peters Superyachts, to manage this new business. Brian Peters, Chairman of Peters plc, commented, "Royal Denship's vast experience with yacht building has been fundamental to the design of the company's newest range of production Superyachts, incorporating state of the art technology, advanced handling science and refined interior and exterior elegance. Royal Denship is dedicated to raising the standards of yacht design and construction and we are excited about our future partnership together,"

Royal Denship produces some of the finest Motor Yachts in the world ranging from the 80 Open 24.4 metre Motor Yacht to Superyachts of 110 metres in length. Beating 25 other nominees and five finalists in the Superyacht Society Design Awards 2004, the Royal Denship 80 Open won the "best power 23-32 metre class".

I saw it on Sunday night. I guess it's the baby in the Royal Denship range they're getting into (82 feet I think). Thought it looked brash. Bet it was fun putting it through the lock.

Did see an Island Packet, however, with a blue hull, which looked fab.
