That is very bad news. We have spent many happy days in Bembridge. Sounds like another marina development is on the way. I suppose that as a boat owner I can't really complain about facilities for other peoples boats. That does not make me /forums/images/graemlins/mad.giffeel any better about tho'.

Although I'm not Bembridge based, Those of us on tight budgets are slowly being forced out of boating. Back to the days when it really was only for the rich!

Not surprised. Bembridge has been heavily gentrified by foreigners ie mainlanders recently and I suppose they want somewhere to moor their boats. Shame if some of the character is lost but the harbour would be perfect for a larger full service marina and it would encourage more vistors
